Short Bio
Dr Sandhya Aneja is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She worked from 2016 to 2022 in Systems Engineering (Information and Communication Systems) at the Faculty of Integrated Technologies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), and visiting scholar at the Computer Science Department, Purdue University in the summer of 2019 and joined as visiting scholar at Computer Science Department, Purdue University in June 2022. Her academic qualifications include an M.Tech in Computer Applications (2002) from IIT Delhi, India, and PhD in Computer Science (2012) from the University of Delhi, Delhi, India. Prior to Universiti Brunei Darussalam, she worked from 2010-2016 at the Institute of Informatics and Communication (IIC), Delhi University, India.
She also worked at the UBD-IBM Centre of the Universiti Brunei Darussalam as a Research Fellow (HPC) from 2013 to 2015. She worked on two research projects during her work span at the Centre. The first project was the Flood Forecasting system for Blue Gene/P (BGP) Super Computer, and the second was Community and Grid Friendly Smart Homes (CGFH). During projects, she was involved in developing and deploying the model at BG/P and developing equipment and software for CGFH.
Her primary areas of interest include Wireless Networks, High-Performance Computing, the Internet of Things, and Artificial Intelligence technologies—machine Learning, machine Translation, and deep Learning.
